1. Using the Instruction Builder

The Instruction Builder, known as “Builder”, is currently free for registered creators and uses your mocables account. By accepting these terms, you agree to use it lawfully, protect your account, and upload only files you own or have permission to use. We may remove infringing content or suspend accounts for misuse.

2. Your ownership

You keep your rights in your models and instruction content, including your customizations. As between you and mocables, model-specific generated instruction content belongs to you to the extent ownership rights exist; we assign any transferable rights we acquire in that content to you. Third-party rights remain unaffected.

mocables owns its software, templates, branding, and watermarks. Generated instructions carry a mocables watermark. You may use, edit, share, and sell your instructions outside mocables, including the templates and branding embedded in them. This permission continues after project deletion or account closure, but does not allow you to extract or separately license our templates or branding.

3. Permission to process your files

You give us limited, non-exclusive permission to store and process your files, generate instructions and previews, check part availability and manufacturability, and provide support, security, and technical backups.

Uploading does not authorize us to market, publicly display, manufacture, or sell your design. Listing sets for sale requires your separate choice and a creator agreement.

4. Privacy and access

Projects are private by default. Access is limited to you, authorized staff who need it for support or service operations, and necessary service providers. Staff may prepare sets only for creators who separately authorize selling through mocables. We may disclose limited information where legally required.

You choose whether to publish a project. Publishing makes only the materials identified in that process public; it does not automatically make source files or part lists public.

5. Information and storage

We collect your .io or .ldr files, parsed model data, instruction metadata, customizations, and full-model thumbnails. From the account you sign in with, we collect only your email address and user ID for account identification and access. We also process technical diagnostics for error monitoring and information you provide when contacting support.

Model files and project data are stored in the United States. Other service information may be processed overseas, subject to applicable transfer requirements.

We use website performance analytics to measure and improve the Builder's performance.

Your email address and user ID are required for account access, and model files are required for project processing. Where consent is required for optional analytics or similar technologies, we will request it and provide a way to withdraw it.

6. Deletion and retention

We retain saved project data to make your projects available to you. You can delete projects at any time. When you delete a project, we delete its files and associated data from active storage. Our permission to process that project ends, except for the limited backup, log, and legal purposes described below.

Database backups are kept for 7 days. Database and service request logs also expire after 7 days. Deleted database records may remain in backups until those backups expire. Residual backup or log data may be handled only for technical recovery, security, deletion, or legal requirements, not commercial use or AI training. Deletions must be reapplied if a backup is restored.

Deleting a project does not close your shared EasternBrick account or recall instructions you have already distributed.

7. AI use

We do not currently send uploaded models to AI services or use your models, instructions, step definitions, thumbnails, or generated project metadata to train AI models. Any future AI processing of this content will be explained separately and require your express opt-in permission. Uploading or accepting these terms does not provide that permission.

8. Security and your choices

We use reasonable safeguards and restrict access to authorized purposes, but cannot guarantee absolute security. Contact support@mocables.com to request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or other privacy rights available under applicable law. We may verify your identity. Withholding necessary information or withdrawing necessary consent may affect the functions we can provide.

9. Service limits and updates

Keep your own copies and check generated instructions and manufacturability results before relying on them. The Builder may experience errors, interruptions, or changes. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

We will notify you of material changes and request additional consent where required. An update alone does not authorize AI training or new commercial use of private projects. Malaysian law applies, subject to mandatory protections available to you elsewhere.
